PHYSICAL accessibility Info:

Kickstand is on the ground level. There is a short ramp leading up to the front door, and another leading down into the shop. The outside ramp is 3’ long, the inside is 5’ long. Both ramps are 33” wide and have a 1:1 slope. Our front door is not power operated.

There are some patches of rough and cracked asphalt on the street and courtyard in front of Kickstand.

Kickstand is not a scent reduced space. The chemicals most frequently used in the space are chain oil and bearing grease. We also use penetrating oils on a regular basis. Rubbing alcohol and WD-40 are occasionally dispensed with spray bottles.

COVID ACCESSIBILITY INFO:

Do not come to the shop if you are feeling ill or testing positive for COVID-19.

On our Women, Trans, and Queer access night, Kickstand requires all shop users and volunteers to wear masks when inside the shop. Mask policy on other shifts and events are determined on a case-by-case basis.

We have two high-capacity HEPA and carbon air purifiers to clean airborne contaminants including COVID-19, dust, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). They provide 3.5 air changes per hour in the shop.
